Creative Use of Materials

We continuously look to new materials and technologies to deliver leading edge solutions. We have an enthusiasm for the aesthetic and mechanical characteristics of materials that create our store interiors. We derive a huge satisfaction from walking into a stimulating environment designed and engineered by our in-house teams.

Examples

1. Our client’s brief was to revolutionise their in-store customer seating, making it more user-friendly and maximising floor space; retaining the brand whilst looking fresh, modern and unique. We created a set of original concepts focusing on contemporary furniture design. The chosen concept featured bending plywood, creating a luxurious, attractive, comfortable and unique range of seating. This was value-engineered to accommodate the client’s budget.

2. As part of our client’s new store concept, they proposed an antique metal frame clothing display table and cabinet. Given the quantity and dimensions required of each table and cabinet, a real antique solution was not viable. We therefore developed a unique method of creating the desired appearance. This involved applying a naked flame to “blue” the corners and edges of a welded black steel frame. This was then lacquered to seal the finish, remove any rough surfaces and provide a contemporary clean finish to the antique appearance.
